Live translation of the Friday sermon for attendees who do not speak the language, on their own phones.

Problem

Part of the congregation does not understand the language of the Friday sermon and had no way to follow it.

Constraints

  • Translations must appear while the sermon is still going.
  • Attendees use whatever phone they have, no app install.

Decisions

  • OpenAI translates each passage into several languages.
  • Supabase real-time sync pushes every passage to all open phones at once.

Result

Attendees follow the sermon live in their own language at osijekhutba.vercel.app.
